Rosemont, Ill. – The penultimate week of the regular season has arrived, with three conference games highlighting the schedule, including two that will be nationally televised.
The week begins on Thursday with a showdown between the two remaining unbeatens in conference play, as No. 1 Maryland travels to Happy Valley for a match-up with No. 5 Penn State. The game will be televised live on BTN, and the winner will clinch at least a share of the regular-season championship.
On Saturday, a pair of conference contests dot the schedule, as Ohio State welcomes Johns Hopkins to Columbus, and Rutgers hosts No. 17 Northwestern in a game televised live on BTN.
Maryland and Penn State lead the standings with 4-0 records in conference play, while Northwestern sits alone in third at 3-1. Rutgers currently holds the No. 4 position in the standings at 2-2, while Johns Hopkins is in fifth at 1-3. Michigan (1-4) and Ohio State (0-5) round out the standings in six and seventh, respectively. The 2017 season marks the first time that the Big Ten Tournament will feature a four-team field. The event will be hosted on May 5 & 7 at Maryland.
