Offensive Player of the Week

Halley Barnes, Rutgers

Sr. – A – Garnet Valley, Pa. – Garnet Valley

  • Scored a career-high six goals in leading Rutgers to a 13-12 overtime win against nationally ranked Ohio State
  • Produced two game-tying goals in the second half, one to force overtime, and tallied the game-winning goal
  • Recorded her 100th career point
  • The 2014-15 Academic All-Big Ten honoree claims her first Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week plaudit

Defensive Player of the Week

Alice Mercer, Maryland

Sr. – D – Woodbine, Md. – Century

  • Anchored Maryland’s defensive unit in the Terrapins’ wins over nationally ranked Virginia and Michigan
  • Tallied a combined four ground balls and three caused turnovers
  • Scooped up two ground balls, caused a pair of turnovers and tallied one draw control against Virginia
  • Caused two turnovers and gathered a ground ball against the Wolverines, helping the Terrapins clinch at least a share of the Big Ten Championship
  • The 2014-15 Academic All-Big Ten honoree earns her second career Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week accolade

Freshman of the Week

Madison Carter, Penn State

A – Davidsonville, Md. – South River

  • Scored four goals on six shots in the Nittany Lions’ win over nationally ranked Northwestern
  • Scored two goals in each half, and led Penn State with nine draw controls
  • Currently tied for first in the Big Ten with 3.50 goals per game in conference play
  • Earns her fifth Big Ten Freshman of the Week accolade and second in as many weeks
