• Maryland clinched at least a share of its second straight Big Ten Championship last Saturday following an 18-8 win over Michigan. With one more win, the Terrapins would clinch the outright Big Ten Championship. Maryland travels to Penn State in the regular-season finale for both teams on Thursday. With a win over Maryland, the Nittany Lions would also secure a share of the Big Ten Championship.

• Four different Big Ten teams are ranked among the top 20 in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) or Nike/Lacrosse Magazine polls. Maryland leads the way at #1/1, followed by #11/14 Penn State, #15/15 Northwestern and #19/- Ohio State.

• The 2016 Big Ten Women’s Lacrosse Tournament will be held at Lanny and Sharon Martin Stadium on the campus of Northwestern from May 5-8. All six conference teams will advance to the tournament. Penn State captured the 2015 Big Ten Tournament title in the inaugural season of Big Ten women's lacrosse.

• Heading into this week's slate of conference games, Maryland's Megan Whittle, Penn State's Madison Carter and the Terrapins' Taylor Cummings are tied for the Big Ten lead with 3.50 goals per game in conference games only. The Nittany Lions' Steph Lazo leads with 2.25 assists and 4.75 points per contest, Cummings paces the Big Ten with 3.25 ground balls and 2.00 caused turnovers per outing and Northwestern's Mallory Weisse leads the Big Ten with 9.00 saves per game in conference games only.
