ROSEMONT, Ill. - Nine Big Ten women's lacrosse standouts earned IWLCA All-America nods, including three first-team performers.
Maryland's Taylor Cummings, Megan Douty and Brooke Griffin were named first-team All-Americans, while Alice Mercer claimed second-team honors. Cummings was named the Big Ten Midfielder of the Year, Douty was the Defensive Player of the Year while Griffin was tabbed the Attack Player of the Year.
Northwestern's Selena Lasota, the Big Ten Freshman of the Year, earned second-team All-America plaudits, along with Penn State's Maggie McCormick. Third-team honorees included Maryland's Megan Whittle and Penn State's Tatum Coffey and Emi Smith, the Big Ten Goaltender of the Year.
