PHILADELPHIA - Following its 10-8 victory over Syracuse in Friday's NCAA semifinals, Maryland's women's lacrosse team secured its third straight national championship game appearance. The top-seeded Terrapins will take on second-seeded North Carolina in Sunday's NCAA Championship game at PPL Park in Philadelphia.
Maryland's Taylor Cummings finished Friday's game with two goals, four assists and five draw controls. Kristen Lamon tallied a hat trick while Brooke Griffin scored twice. Zoe Stukenberg, Erin Collins and Kelly McPartland each notched one goal.
Sunday's NCAA final will get underway at 8:30 p.m. ET and air live on ESPNU. The Terrapins posted a 13-11 win over North Carolina on Feb. 22 in College Park, Md.
