The new Big Ten rowing season begins this weekend with the Michigan Wolverines traveling to Florida to face Miami on Saturday in Miami Beach. The Wolverines will be the lone conference squad to begin this weekend.
In the coming weeks, the Big Ten's remaining teams will get underway. Two-time defending Big Ten Champion Michigan State is scheduled to make its 2010 season debut on March 13 at Virginia. Iowa will travel to the Longhorn Invitational for a March 19 competition, while Indiana and Minnesota both open their new rowing seasons March 20. Ohio State will begin its season March 27 at Princeton and Wisconsin's first scheduled competition is April 3-4 at the Stanford Invitational.
This year's Big Ten Championships will be held May 1 at Michigan State, while the NCAA Championships will take place May 28-30 in Sacramento, Calif.
