The Big Ten's seven rowing teams travel to Oak Ridge, Tenn., this weekend for the Aramark South/Central Region Sprints in their final race before the NCAA Championships later this month. The regatta will be held at Melton Lake and is hosted by the University of Tennessee.

Last year, Michigan won the Central Region title after totaling 348 points to edge out Big Ten rival Ohio State (328) for the team title. Wisconsin (321), Michigan State (320), Iowa (241) and Minnesota (231) were the top six team finishers in Central Region.

The conference teams last competed two weeks ago at the Big Ten Championships, where Wisconsin won four of the six races to win its first Big Ten title. The Badgers are 10th in the latest NCAA Division I Team Rankings, one spot behind Michigan State, with Michigan at No. 13 and Ohio State at No. 14.

Competition at the region sprints begins on Saturday at 9 a.m. ET with semifinal rounds scheduled for approximately 2 p.m. The sprints will conclude with the finals beginning at 9 a.m. on Sunday.
