Four Big Ten teams were selected for the 2014 NCAA Division I Rowing Championships, the NCAA Rowing Committee announced on Tuesday. Indiana, Michigan, Ohio State and Wisconsin earned berths into the national event, marking the fifth time in the last six years four conference teams have participated in the NCAA Championships.

The Buckeyes earned the conference's automatic berth into the field after winning their second-consecutive Big Ten Championship last weekend. Ohio State aims for back-to-back national titles after earning the conference's first NCAA Rowing Championship last year. The Buckeyes are making their 15th consecutive appearance in the event and 16th overall. Additionally, two Ohio State boats aim to repeat as national champions, as the Buckeye second varsity eight and first varsity four won individual titles last season.

Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin earned at-large bids to the NCAA Championships. The Hoosiers are making their first-ever appearance in the event, while the Wolverines appear in the regatta for the sixth consecutive season and 14th time overall. The Badgers earned their seventh-straight berth in the national championship and 11th appearance overall.

The 2014 NCAA Championships will be held May 30-June 1 at Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis, the site of last weekend's Big Ten Rowing Championships. The regatta includes 22 teams and each team is required to field two boats of eight rowers and one boat of four rowers.
