Two Big Ten Boats Win National Titles

The Michigan second varsity eight and Ohio State varsity four boats both claimed titles at the NCAA Rowing Championships on Sunday at Mercer Lake in West Windsor, N.J.

The Michigan second varsity eight led the field with a time of 6:37.04, while the Ohio State varsity four clocked in with a time of 7:13.09.

Also in the grand finals, Michigan’s first varsity eight came in second with a time of 6:22.09, and Ohio State’s second varsity eight finished behind Michigan with a time of 6:38.94.

As a team, Michigan finished second, just five points behind first-place Virginia.
