PARK RIDGE, Ill. - Penn State and Wisconsin have been tabbed as top 25 teams by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) in its 2010 Women's Soccer Preseason Rankings.

Defending Big Ten Champion Penn State opens the season with a No. 13 ranking, the highest of any Big Ten team. Wisconsin also appears in the poll, checking in at No. 20. Ohio State, Purdue and Michigan State all received votes in the first poll of 2010.

The Big Ten women's soccer season kicks off on Friday, Aug. 20, with 10 teams playing their first games of the 2010 season. Northwestern opens its 2010 slate on Sunday, Aug. 22.
