Offensive Player of the Week

Kim Grodek, Indiana

Grodek tallied 11 points on the weekend, leading Indiana to a championship in the Milwaukee Cup.  The midfielder scored her first collegiate hat trick, only the fourth in school history, and added an assist in a 4-0 win over Marquette.  She added two more goals in Sunday's championship game as the Hoosiers defeated Wisconsin-Milwaukee, 2-1.  For her efforts, Grodek was named to the all-tournament team.  She also moved into fourth place on IU's all-time goals list with 22, as well as fourth in points with 47.

Defensive Player of the Week

Kristin Lichtenberg, Purdue
SO, D, Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton Warrenville South
Lichtenberg was named Defensive Player of the Week after earning Defensive MVP honors at the Boilermaker Challenge Cup.  She was part of an effort that allowed only one goal on 10 shots as Purdue defeated Cincinnati, 2-1, and New Mexico, 3-0.  Lichtenberg also scored her first career goal in the win over New Mexico.
