PARK RIDGE, Ill. – Iowa and Michigan State have earned Big Ten women’s soccer weekly awards as announced on Monday. Two Spartans are recognized as Olivia Stander takes home Offensive Player of the Week and Courtney Clem earns Defensive Player of the Week laurels. Hawkeye forward Cloe Lacasse receives the nod for Freshman of the Week.
Offensive Player of the Week
Olivia Stander, Michigan State
F – Jr. – Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich. – Grosse Pointe North
- Led her team to wins over Bowling Green (2-0) and UC-Santa Barbara (4-1)
- Notched eight points on three goals and an assist over the weekend
- Scored the game-winning goal against Bowling Green on Friday
- Last Michigan State Offensive Player of the Week: Lauren Hill (Nov. 9, 2009)
Defensive Player of the Week
Courtney Clem, Michigan State
GK – So. – Okemos, Mich. – Okemos
- Recorded her first career shutout against Bowling Green (2-0)
- Tallied five saves while giving up one goal over the weekend
- This is her first career Defensive Player of the Week award

Freshman of the Week
