Offensive Player of the Week

Amy Vermeulen, Wisconsin

Vermeulen was named Offensive Player of the Week after recording five goals in two wins last week.  The junior midfielder/forward secured a 3-0 victory over North Dakota State on Friday when she notched two scores in a 1:06 stretch late in the second half.  She recorded a hat trick against Boston College, with her first two goals coming in the opening 10 minutes of the game as the Badgers defeated the Eagles, 5-3. 

Defensive Player of the Week

Megan Tuura, Michigan
SO, GK, Tucker, Ga./St. Pius X Catholic
Tuura was named Defensive Player of the Week after allowing just one goal in 200 minutes of play last week.  The sophomore goalkeeper made four saves in a 1-1 tie against Syracuse on Friday.  She came up big for the Wolverines on Sunday with six saves against No. 22 Boston University to lead Michigan to a 3-0 win.  The shutout was her first of the season and sixth of her career.
