Women's Soccer Player of the Week
Christie Kotynski, Indiana

Kotynski was part of four of Indiana's six goals on the week, recording three scores and one assist as the Hoosiers defeated Butler and Evansville. Against the Bulldogs on Wednesday, the sophomore netted the tying score in the 63rd minute as the Hoosiers held on to win, 2-1. Kotynski then posted her first career multi-goal game against the Purple Aces on Sunday. Her game-winning goal in the 48th minute snapped a 0-0 tie, while her second score at 71:10 sealed the victory as Indiana won its fifth-straight contest. Kotyinski also added an assist in the Hoosiers' 4-0 win as she now leads her team with four helpers. The weekly award is the first of Kotynski's career.

Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Alyssa Naeher, Penn State
So., GK, Seymour, Conn./Christian Heritage
Naeher led the Nittany Lions to their first undefeated weekend of the season, posting wins over Bucknell and No. 21 Notre Dame on the road. Against Bucknell on Wednesday, the sophomore recorded four saves in a 5-1 win. On Sunday versus the Fighting Irish, Naeher helped Penn State avenge its 2006 NCAA Quarterfinal loss by hauling in eight saves in the 2-1 Nittany Lion victory. The weekly honor is the first of Naeher's career.
