Six Big Ten schools are ranked or receiving votes in this week’s United Soccer Coaches (formerly National Soccer Coaches Association of America/NSCAA) and Soccer America polls, marking the seventh consecutive week that at least five conference programs earned mention in the national rankings.
Penn State remains the highest-ranked Big Ten school in the United Soccer Coaches poll, rising one place to No. 6 this week, while Wisconsin is ranked No. 12. Rutgers is also appearing in the top 25 at No. 16, while Michigan, Nebraska and Ohio State are all receiving votes in the coaches’ poll.
In the Soccer America poll, the Nittany Lions held steady at No. 3, leading a contingent of five Big Ten schools in the top 25. Rutgers is ranked No. 16, followed by No. 21 Wisconsin, No. 23 Ohio State and No. 25 Michigan.
