Indiana, Iowa and Penn State have earned Big Ten women’s soccer weekly awards, the conference office announced on Monday. Nittany Lion forward Maya Hayes takes home Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Indiana’s Sarah Stone and Iowa’s Hannah Clark share Defensive Player and Freshman of the Week laurels.

Offensive Player of the Week
Maya Hayes, Penn State
F – Jr. – West Orange, N.J. – Newark Academy 

• Netted three goals in Penn State victories over Ohio State (3-0) and Minnesota (4-3) last weekend
• Tallied 12 shots for the No. 8 Nittany Lions
• Is second on the team in scoring in five games played
• Earns the sixth weekly award of her career and second of the season
• Last Penn State Offensive Player of the Week: Maya Hayes (Sept. 24, 2012) 

Co-Defensive Player and Co-Freshman of the Week
Sarah Stone, Indiana
GK – Fr. – Evansville, Ind. – Memorial

• Posted a shutout in Indiana’s win over Northwestern (1-0)
• Made six total saves in all 90 minutes of play
• Earns the first weekly awards of her career
• Last Indiana Defensive Player of the Week: Stacey Van Boxmeer (Oct. 9, 2006)
• Last Indiana Freshman of the Week: Orianica Velasquez (Sept. 21, 2009)

Hannah Clark, Iowa
GK – Fr. – Fort Collins, Colo. – Rocky Mountain 

• Did not allow a goal in 130 minutes of action for the Hawkeyes last weekend
• Tallied 11 total saves in two games last weekend, including seven against No. 22 Michigan
• Earns the first weekly awards of her career
• Last Iowa Defensive Player of the Week: Morgan Showalter (Oct. 31, 2011)
• Last Iowa Freshman of the Week: Meg Goodson (Sept. 24, 2012)
