Tiffany Weimer and No. 1 Penn State clinched the regular season title on Sunday.
The No. 1 ranked Penn State women's soccer team clinched the 2005 Big Ten Championship in record-breaking fashion. Senior Tiffany Weimer's 83rd career goal was the game-winner in the first half, and set a new Big Ten record. The Nittany Lions went on to win 3-0 in East Lansing, and stretched their win streak to 17 straight. Penn State is 9-0 in conference play and is unable to be caught in the standings. They will take the No. 1 seed into the Big Ten tournament, which will be held from November 3-6 at Michigan. With the Penn State men's soccer team also earning the No. 1 seed, it is the first time in conference history that one school earned the No. 1 seed in both tournaments.
