Michigan State finished the conference regular season with a 6-2-2 record to earn the No. 3 seed. The Spartans will take the field at 10:30 a.m. against a sixth-seeded Indiana team that posted a 3-6-1 record in conference play.

This year's No. 4 versus No. 5 game will feature Illinois as the fourth seed with a record of 6-3-1 and Minnesota in the fifth spot with a record of 6-4.

The 2005 Big Ten season ended with a three-way tie for sixth place with Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin all finishing with 3-6-1 league records.
