Nebraska Clinches Big Ten Women's Soccer Championship

Rosemont, Ill. - The No. 18 Nebraska women's soccer team clinched the outright Big Ten Championship with its 3-1 victory over Indiana in Lincoln, Neb., on Nov. 1. This is the first Big Ten title in Cornhusker history.

Nebraska took the lead in the 34th minute on a goal by Mayme Conroy. The Hoosiers tallied the equalizer in the 47th minute (1-1) until Jaycie Johnson scored the game-winning goal in the 67th minute. Goalkeeper Emma Stevens scored the final goal, propelling the Cornhuskers to a 3-1 win. 

Nebraska earned the No. 1 seed in the Big Ten Women's Soccer Tournament, which will be held at the University of Illinois beginning Nov. 6.
