Wisconsin Wins Big Ten Tournament

ROSEMONT, Ill. – The second-seeded Wisconsin women’s soccer team won its third Big Ten Tournament Championship after defeating No. 5 Iowa, 1-0, in Sunday’s championship match at Purdue’s Boilermaker Soccer Complex in West Lafayette, Ind. With the victory, the Badgers earned the Big Ten’s automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.

Kinley McNicoll scored the game-winning goal just over three minutes into double overtime (103:09) to secure the tournament title. Wisconsin goalkeeper Genevieve Richard recorded her Big Ten-leading 15th shutout of the season.
