Penn State 6, Bucknell 0
The No. 1 seed Penn State women's soccer team defeated Bucknell (11-9-1) by a 6-0 tally Friday night in front of 1,085 fans to extend its record to 20-0-1 on the season and take one step closer to an NCAA title. The Lions will meet West Virginia in the NCAA Second Round on Sunday, Nov. 13, at Jeffrey Field. Kick-off is at 1 p.m. Full Story

Michigan State 4, Bowling Green 0
The Michigan State women's soccer team used four second-half goals to defeat Bowling Green, 4-0, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament Friday night at Alumni Field on the campus of Notre Dame. The win propels the Spartans (12-5-5) into the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history. It marks the end of the season for the Mid-American Conference Champion Bowling Green Falcons (14-7-2). Full Story

Illinois 1, Florida 0
Laura Redmond beat the Florida keeper and punched home the golden goal in the 102nd minute as Illinois won a hard-fought NCAA tournament first round game over the 20th-ranked Gators 1-0. The Illini advance to Sunday's second round, where they will play Florida State at noon (CST). FSU downed Florida Atlantic 3-0 in Friday's first game. Full Story

UW-Milwaukee 6, Purdue 5
The Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers ended Purdue's 2005 season Friday night at Marquette's Valley Fields on penalty kicks, 6-5, after both teams played to a scoreless tie. UWM will face the winner of the Wisconsin and Marquette game Sunday at 1 p.m. Full Story

The Wisconsin women's soccer team was defeated by No. 12 Marquette 1-0 Friday in the first round of the 2005 NCAA Tournament. The only score of the game came at 36:46 when Katie Kelly scored off a free kick following a Wisconsin foul. Kelly's shot from the right side was deflected by Murray but the ball had already crossed the endline.Wisconsin finishes the year with a 13-9-2 mark. Full Story
