Indiana and Penn State still alive in NCAA competition



Indiana hosts Duke in third-round action; winner advances to quaterfinals

No. 1 seed Penn State (18-3-2) advances to third round action after cruising by Monmouth in the first round and taking down Hofstra in a second-round overtime victory.  The Nittany Lions will square off against No. 4 seed West Virginia (17-4-2) on Saturday, Nov. 24.  The Mountaineers made their way to the third round by beating Navy and James Madison in early round play.                 

Indiana (13-6-3) will compete in the round of 16 for the first time in program history when it faces Duke (10-5-6) on Sunday, Nov. 25.  The Hoosiers moved past Toledo in the first round with a 3-2 overtime win and upset No. 2 seed Purdue in second round play.  Along with Purdue, Illinois exited the tournament in the second round after falling to No. 4 seed Notre Dame.
