Player of the Week

Sam Marder, Ohio State
So., C/1B, Calabasas, Calif./Calabasas

Marder batted .462 with a home run and eight RBI to lead Ohio State to a perfect 5-0 record and championship of the Stetson Lead-Off Classic last weekend in DeLand, Fla. The Calabasas, Calif., native went 6-for-13 at the plate with a double, a .769 slugging percentage and a .529 on-base percentage. Marder had two game-winning RBI and the game-tying RBI in extra-innings of the championship game against host Stetson. This is her second career weekly accolade.

Pitcher of the Week

Kim Reeder, Ohio State
Jr., P, Salinas, Calif./Notre Dame

Reeder went 2-0 with a 0.44 ERA to lead Ohio State to a 5-0 record and championship of the Stetson Lead-Off Classic last weekend in DeLand, Fla. Reeder got the ball in the Buckeyes' season opener, a 2-0 win over Detroit, in which she went all nine innings and struck out eight in her first career one-hitter. On Saturday night against host Stetson, Reeder went all seven innings, striking out five and allowing only one earned run in the seventh inning. This is the second career Pitcher of the Week accolade for the Salinas, Calif., native.
