Shaw wins her first Big Ten Player of the Week honor after slugging 1.250 and batting .500 as the Wolverines posted a 5-0 record over the weekend. The Michigan first baseman finished the weekend 6-for-12 from the plate with three home runs, eight RBI, three runs scored and a stolen base. She had three two-hit performances, including in Michigan's first game of the week in which she hit two solo homers against Mississippi State in her only two plate appearances. Shaw knocked in three runs and had two hits in each of Michigan's final two weekend contests against Alabama and South Carolina.

Pitcher of the Week
Jordan Taylor, Michigan

Taylor was named Big Ten Pitcher of the Week for the third time this season and the fifth time in her Wolverine career, as she pitched two complete games and earned a save in Michigan's 5-0 weekend. In her first appearance, she came on in relief against Mississippi State, where she struck out four to earn her first save of the season. She then pitched two complete games against Alabama in the SEC/Midwest Challenge, where she earned tournament MVP honors. In her first outing against the Crimson Tide, Taylor fanned 13 and surrendered one earned run on five hits. The second time out, she struck out another 10 batters, allowing two runs on four hits. Over the weekend, she totaled 27 strikeouts in 16 innings of work and finished with a 1.31 ERA.
