Player of the Week

Marder picks up her first Player of the Week laurel after batting .455 (10-for-22) with three doubles, two home runs and 10 RBI last weekend to lead the Buckeyes to a 5-3 record at the USF adidas Invitational. Marder posted a .600 on-base percentage with eight walks, including a school-record five against Hofstra. She homered and drove in three runs in an 8-0 shutout over Robert Morris. Marder followed with another home run, her seventh on the season, against Central Michigan. Marder currently leads the Buckeyes in batting average (.364), home runs (7) and RBI (23).

Reeder captures Pitcher of the Week accolades after tallying a 3-1 record with a 1.28 ERA in four games last week. Reeder, who tossed complete games in three of her four starts, struck out 19, walked 10 and gave up only two extra-base hits on the week. She notched a three-hit shutout over No. 26 Virginia Tech, fanning five batters. Reeder has tallied an 8-3 record this season with a 2.11 ERA in 66.1 innings pitched.
