Player of the Week Hall was named Player of the Week after tallying four home runs and a .526 batting average at the USF/Adidas Tournament last weekend. Hall guided the Illini to a 5-4 upset over No. 23 Virginia Tech, batting 3-for-3 with a home run, a walk and two RBI. She followed with another top performance, hitting two home runs against Central Michigan to become just the third player in Illinois history to post a multi-home run game. Hall finished the week, batting .526 (10-for-19) with four home runs, two doubles and seven RBI. Pitcher of the Week Bogado earns her first-ever Pitcher of the Week laurel after posting a 4-0 record and a 1.14 earned run average, while striking out 42 batters at the FSU Invitational last weekend. She allowed just five runs in 30.2 innings of pitching, while also guiding the Hoosiers to victories over two top-25 opponents (No. 15 Nebraska and No. 25 North Carolina). In a 3-2 win against Troy, Bogado gave up only two runs and struck out 17 batters, just six away from tying her school record of 23 strikeouts. She also stepped up for the Hoosiers at the plate, tallying a home run against Troy and also scoring the game-winning run versus Nebraska.
