Cooper was named Player of the Week after leading the Wildcats to a perfect 6-0 record in Hawaii last weekend. She batted a team-best .471 (8-for-17) with six RBI, a .647 slugging percentage and a .550 on-base percentage. Against San Diego State, Cooper tallied two doubles and drove in a pair of runs. She followed with a 3-for-4 performance against Hawaii, scoring once and driving in a pair of runs. The Mission Viejo, Calif., native earns her second Big Ten weekly accolade as she was also honored on May 3, 2004.

Canney compiled a 3-0 record and a 0.67 earned run average as Northwestern won the championship of the Bank of Hawaii Invitational. She opened the trip, striking out 13 batters, one shy of her then-career high in a three-hit shutout against Kansas. Canney then defeated San Diego State with a seven-strikeout performance for a 6-2 victory. The Paradise, Calif., native, ended the weekend, fanning a career-high 17 batters, while giving up only one hit against Hawaii. Canney earns her fourth weekly accolade as she was also honored in 2004 (April 26) and 2005 (Feb. 8 and April 4).
