Motycka hit a team-best .647 (11-for-17) with three home runs and a slugging percentage of 1.235 to lead Michigan to a 3-1 Conference mark last week. The senior co-captain hit safely in all five games, including multi-hit games in four of the five contests and two three-hit efforts. Motycka set a new career high with her sixth home run of the season in a 3-1 win over No. 24 Iowa and then homered in both games of a doubleheader sweep the next day against Illinois. Her home run in the game one win over Illinois was the 51st of the season for the Maize and Blue which set a new single-season Michigan record. The previous mark of 50 was set in 2003.
Nicole Mercado, Michigan State

Mercado went 5-for-7 (.714) last week, posting at least one hit in each of Michigan State's games. Against Indiana, she matched her career high with three RBI, including a two-run triple, while also scoring a run. In the second game against IU, Mercado posted a key RBI single to help the Spartans sweep the Hoosiers, 3-2. She then added another two-run triple as well as converting a sacrifice bunt against the Boilermakers. Mercado finished the weekend with a 1.286 slugging percentage and a .750 on-base percentage.

Eileen Canney, Northwestern

Canney pitched the fourth perfect game in school history last weekend against Illinois. It was NU's first no-hitter and perfect game since April 23, 2000, against Michigan. In helping NU to a perfect 4-0 Conference start, Canney allowed just four hits and one run over 10 innings of work to post a 0.70 ERA for the week.
