Angela Findlay extended her season-high hitting streak to eight straight games with six hits to lead the Wolverines to three wins last week. The Lockport, Ill., native went 6-for-9 (.667) with a pair of multi-hit efforts in U-M's slate vs. Central Michigan and Minnesota. She knocked out a two-run home run in the sixth inning to kick-start the Wolverines' comeback at CMU on Wednesday, providing her team's first runs in a 7-2 decision. Findlay then matched a career-best with three hits in the series finale against Minnesota on Sunday, adding two RBI and a walk to headline Michigan's offensive efforts. Findlay, a two-time All-Big Ten first team selection, leads the Wolverines' this season with a .560 average against Big Ten opposition.

Senior Brittany Weil threw her fourth hitless game of the season, tossing a no-hitter in Iowa's 4-0 win at Purdue on Saturday. Weil struck out seven batters and allowed only four base-runners in the seven-inning contest, hitting a batter in the second, walking two in the fourth and one in the sixth. The Garden Grove, Calif., native also tied former Hawkeye all-American Debbie Bilbao's record for most hitless games in a career. Weil and Bilbao have both thrown four hitless games, with Weil's all coming this season. During the two-game series at Purdue, Weil threw all 14 innings, giving up only one hit with 20 strikeouts and three walks. She limited Purdue to just a .024 batting average. Earlier in the week, Weil threw a complete game, two-hitter against Western Illinois, recording six strikeouts and no walks. Weil also entered Iowa's game against Iowa State in the top of the seventh with the bases loaded and only one out in the seventh, recording a fly ball and a strike out to preserve the win. For the week, Weil was 3-0 (all complete games), with a 0.00 ERA in 20.2 innings of work. She gave up just three hits, while striking out 27 batters to just three walks, while limiting her opponents to a slim .045 batting average.
