Player of the Week

Hall earns Player of the Week accolades after leading Purdue at the plate last week, tallying a .667 batting average (16-for-24) with seven runs and five RBI. She posted multiple hits in all six contests, extending her current hit streak to 15 games. Hall started the week with a 3-for-5 effort and a 2-for-4 performance in two victories over Miami (Ohio). In Friday's contest against Minnesota, she tallied a .500 batting average (2-for-4), including the game-tying RBI single in the seventh to send the contest to extra innings. Hall followed with a perfect 3-for-3 outing with three RBI and a double in an 11-4 victory over the Golden Gophers. The Noblesville, Ind., native continued her impressive play against Wisconsin, tallying two hits and scoring the game-winning run to claim a 4-3 victory. In the second game against the Badgers, the junior went 4-for-4, notching her fifth perfect performance of the season.

Baker earned four victories in five appearances for Purdue, while striking out 27 in 33 innings of work last week to pick up Player of the Week laurels. She limited opponents to a .198 batting average and tallied a 1.46 ERA. The senior threw three back-to-back extra inning efforts, garnering the victory against Miami (Ohio) and Minnesota. Baker fanned six batters, while giving up only one earned run in the Purdue's 4-2 eight-inning win over the Redhawks. She then followed with an eight-strikeout effort to claim a 4-3 victory over Minnesota. Baker moved to 4-0 on the week after tossing a complete game and striking out seven against Wisconsin. The Schererville, Ind., native now owns the school career records for wins (64), games started (113), complete games (86) and innings pitched (803).
