Monka hit 1.000 from the plate, recorded a 1.000 on-base percentage and drove in seven runs, helping the Wildcats to a weekend sweep of Ohio State. In the series opener on Saturday, the junior hit a three-run home run in the second inning followed by a two-run double in the fourth, giving her five RBI for the day. After two intentional walks to start the game on Sunday, Monka singled home two runs as Northwestern completed the sweep. She slugged 2.333 on the week to combine for an OPS of 3.333. It is the fourth weekly honor of her career and first this season.

Pitcher of the Week
Chelsea Lyon, Iowa

Lyon posted a 1.27 ERA in 11.0 innings of work last week, including a victory on the road against No. 1 Michigan on Saturday afternoon. The sophomore pitched a complete game for the Hawkeyes, allowing just two runs while striking out seven as Iowa earned the 4-2 win over the Wolverines. The victory marked Iowa's first over a top-ranked team since 2005. In non-conference action, Lyon pitched four innings against Iowa State, allowing just two hits with no earned runs in the Hawkeye win.

Co-Freshman of the Week
Sara Moulton, Minnesota
RHP, Eagan, Minn./Eagan
Moulton takes home her fourth Big Ten Freshman of the Week accolade after posting a 2-1 mark over the weekend and without surrendering an earned run. In a midweek win over Wisconsin, Moulton allowed just three hits and struck out seven in complete-game shutout. In the weekend opener against Purdue, the freshman once again went the distance, allowing just six hits with four strikeouts, and surrendering just two unearned runs in the victory.

Bast claims Northwestern's first Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor after hitting .800 and driving in four to help the Wildcats to a weekend sweep of Ohio State. The freshman was 3-for-3 from the plate in the opener on Saturday, singling home a run in each at-bat before hitting a solo home run in the finale on Sunday. Bast finished the week with a 1.400 slugging percentage and reached base at an .833 clip to combine for 2.233 OPS.
