Heading into the second half of the Big Ten season, the race for the conference championship is in full swing. Michigan and Indiana boast matching 10-2 Big Ten records atop the standings, while Iowa is two games back at 8-4. Purdue is fourth in the standings at 6-4, while Illinois is fifth with a 7-5 conference mark.

Boasting the most nationally broadcast softball games of any conference in the country, the Big Ten will have 10 contests nationally distributed this week. On Wednesday, the Big Ten Network will carry the Indiana-Illinois doubleheader, beginning at 5:30 p.m. ET. After nationally televising the Northwestern-Illinois contest at 6 p.m. on Saturday, the Big Ten Network will feature a tripleheader on Sunday. Purdue and Penn State open the network’s softball coverage at Noon, followed by Michigan State at Minnesota at 2 p.m., and Michigan at Wisconsin at 4 p.m. Following Sunday’s contests, the Big Ten Diamond Report airs at 6 p.m., recapping the week’s Big Ten baseball and softball action. In addition, four other conference contests will be streamed online at this week.
