Player of the Week
Cooper claims Player of the Week accolades after breaking the Big Ten's career home run record last weekend, while also tying the conference's single-season mark (21) in homers. For the weekend, she batted .583 (7-of-12) with a double, three home runs, 11 RBI and a 1.417 slugging percentage. Cooper hit a three-run dinger on Friday against Iowa to break the all-time home run mark with the 52nd of her career. In Sunday's doubleheader against Illinois, Cooper hit her 21st homer of the season and the 53rd of her career, driving in four on the day and walking three times.
Co-Pitchers of the Week
Delaney shares Pitcher of the Week laurels after holding the nation's leading home-run hitting and sixth-ranked scoring offense without a homer, a run scored or even a hit last Sunday to earn the first collegiate no-hitter of her career. She was perfect through 4.2 innings against Illinois before surrendering a fifth-inning walk. Delaney also struck out 10 batters.
Jamee Juarez, Ohio State
Juarez pitched in all four of Ohio State's Big Ten games last week, tallying a perfect 3-0 mark and picking up a save. She posted a 0.00 ERA, while striking out 16 batters in 14.2 innings of work. Juarez collected both wins over Purdue, the first coming with 3.1 innings of two-hit relief in Friday's 7-5 victory. She struck out seven in that appearance, then fanned three batters in five innings for an 8-0 win in game two. In Sunday's doubleheader, Juarez registered her sixth career one-hitter and her 26th all-time shutout, which ties the OSU career record.
