On Friday, the Paradise, Calif., native tossed a one-hit shutout, striking out nine in a 5-0 victory at Michigan State. Canney came in and relieved Courtnay Foster against the Spartans in the second game of the series. Canney earns her seventh weekly laurel as she was honored on March 20, April 17 and April 24 of this year, while also collecting accolades in 2004 (April 26) and 2005 (Feb. 8 and April 4).
