Player of the Week
Tiffany Haas, Michigan
Jr., 2B, Santa Ana, Calif./Foothill
Haas paced Michigan to a doubleheader sweep over Michigan State that included a 5-for-7 (.714) effort at the plate with a home run and two doubles to claim Player of the Week accolades. She batted .667 (2-for-3) in an 8-0 win over the Spartans, tallying her eighth home run on a solo shot in the third inning while also adding a double. Haas then went 3-for-4 (.750) with another double and a run scored in the nightcap. The Santa Ana, Calif., native has now moved into a tie for ninth on Michigan's career home run list, while also leading the team this season with 24 multi-hit games. Haas earns her third career Big Ten Player of the Week accolade as she was also honored on March 17, 2004 and May 3, 2004.

Pitcher of the Week
Missy Beseres, Penn State
Sr., P, Golden Valley, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong

Beseres earned Big Ten Pitcher of the Week laurels after compiling a 0.36 ERA in three wins and four appearances last week. She pitched a complete-game shutout against Purdue, tallying six strikeouts and giving up only two walks. Beseres followed with another solid performance, fanning 11 versus Indiana to push her season total to a single-season school record of 238 strikeouts. She opened the week, giving up her only earned run of the week in a 9-1 victory over Akron. For the week, the Golden Valley, Minn., native struck out 14 batters, while giving up onlyone run in 19.1 innings pitched. Beseres earns her second career Big Ten weekly accolade as she was also honored on March 17, 2004.
