Giampaolo claims her first-ever Big Ten Player of the Week accolade after leading the Wolverines to a 4-0 record last week and clinching their 10th Big Ten regular season title in school history. She went 2-for-3 including a two-run home run and an RBI single to give Michigan an 8-7 victory over Northwestern on Sunday and the No. 1 seed in this week's Big Ten Tournament. Giampaolo also batted .667 (2-for-3) in a 3-0 victory over the Wildcats that helped force the title-clinching contest on Sunday. The Pasadena, Calif., native closed out the week, hitting safely in all four games, while batting .500 (6-for-12), with six hits, four runs and three RBI.

Juarez earned Big Ten Pitcher of the Week laurels after posting a 4-0 record in the circle, including two shutouts over Penn State while tallying a 0.00 ERA last week. In a 3-0 win over the Nittany Lions on Sunday, Juarez posted her school-record 25th victory of the season, while giving up only five hits and striking out seven. For the week, she allowed only three unearned runs, while striking out 27 batters and walking three. Juarez earns her first-ever Pitcher weekly accolade, but her third overall career Big Ten laurel as she was also honored as Player of the Week on Feb. 22 and March 21, 2005.
