For the eighth time in 11 years, the Big Ten Softball Tournament will be held in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The host Michigan Wolverines edged out the Northwestern Wildcats with a two-game series sweep to close out the regular season. The second seeded Northwestern Wildcats will open the tournament with No. 7 Purdue. Northwestern swept the season series between the two. The No. 1 Michigan Wolverines will play the tournament's first day's nightcap by facing instate rival Michigan State, the eighth seed.
