Northwestern shutsout UMass to claim Super Regionals rubber match
No. 4 seed Northwestern advanced to the Women's College World Series with a 9-0 victory over UMass in the teams' NCAA Super Regional Saturday afternoon at Sharon J. Drysdale Field, after forcing the decisive third game with a 4-2, come-from-behind win in game two. Full Story to Come...

Michigan Drops Super Regional Opener to Tennessee
The University of Michigan softball team was pushed one loss away from postseason elimination after a late comeback fell short in a 5-3 NCAA Super Regional loss at No. 5 Tennessee on Saturday (May 27) at Tyson Park.

Michigan trailed 2-0 in the fifth inning when sophomore Samantha Findlay (Lockport, Ill./Lockport East) broke up Tennessee pitcher Monica Abbott's no-hitter with a solo home run to cut the deficit to one, 2-1. One inning later, a well-placed bunt by junior Rebekah Milian (Grand Blanc, Mich./Grand Blanc) and a Lady Vol error brought the tying run across, making it 2-2. Tennessee rebounded in the bottom of the sixth with three runs of its own, and despite junior Tiffany Worthy's (Yorba Linda, Calif./Lutheran) seventh-inning home run, the Wolverines could not come closer than 5-3.
