A two-time NFCA All-American and four-time All-Big Ten honoree, Amanda Chidester repeated as Big Ten Player of the Year in 2012 after leading Michigan to its fifth consecutive Big Ten Championship. She ranks second all-time at Michigan and fourth in Big Ten history in career RBIs (199). In Michigan history, she comes in ninth in runs scored (156), ninth in hits (247), fifth in home runs (39) and second in grand slams (5). A physical education major, Chidester was a 2012 Academic All-Big Ten selection. A two-time captain for U-M, Chidester has accepted an invitation to try out for the U.S. National Team in the summer of 2012. She was selected by the Akron Racers in the third round of the 2012 National Pro Fastpitch draft.
