Swimmer of the Week

Andrea Hupman, Northwestern
FR, Lawrenceville, Ga./Brookwood
Hupman earns Swimmer of the Week after helping propel Northwestern to a 184-167 win over No. 23 Tennessee.  The freshman posted two NCAA provisional marks, winning the 100-yard freestyle (50.49) and placing second in the 200-yard freestyle (1:49.81).  She won the 50-yard freestyle in 23.65 and swam on three relays, including the winning 400-yard freestyle relay (3:26.12) as Hupman swam a 46.79 second leg to take a two-length lead to give the Wildcats the meet victory.

This is Hupman's first weekly award of her career and the first for a Wildcat since Carmen Cosgrove earned the award Feb. 6, 2003.

Diver of the Week

Leanne Dumais, Northwestern
SO, Ventura, Calif./Buena
Dumais collects Diver of the Week for the first time in her career after helping the Wildcats to a victory over No. 23 Tennessee, traditionally one of the best diving programs in the country.  The sophomore placed second off the one-meter board with a score of 241.80 and earned a first-place finish on the three-meter (282.98) to help secure the win.

Dumais is the first Wildcat diver to claim the weekly award since Ashley Carter (1/21/02).
