Indiana and Penn State Pick Up Weekly Accolades

Caitlin Meehan, Penn State
Meehan and her Nittany Lions earned victories over ACC member Maryland and Big East schools Pittsburgh and Villanova this past weekend in College Park, Md. The senior's winning 200-yard breaststroke time of 2:14.65 hit the NCAA ‘B’ cut time. She also racked up a second-place performance in the 100 breaststroke, coming in at 1:03.27, less than one second from NCAA consideration. Meehan is honored with her second career Big Ten Swimmer of the Week award.

Christina Loukas, Indiana
Loukas earns her 10th career Big Ten Diver of the Week award, adding to her mark as the all-time leader in weekly diving accolades. She racked up two gold-medal performances this past weekend at a home meet featuring Missouri and Ohio State. Off the three-meter board, the senior captured the title by more than 11 points, recording a total of 323.45. From the one-meter, the 2008 Olympian led a 1-2-3 IU sweep of the event, posting a mark of 317.75. Both dive totals qualify her for the NCAA Zone Diving meet in March.
