Indiana and Minnesota Take Home Weekly Swimming and Diving Honors
Jan. 26, 2010
The conference office announced on Tuesday the 15th weekly women’s swimming and diving awards for meets from Jan. 18-24. Indiana’s Margaux Farrell and Minnesota’s Kelci Bryant earned the nod as Swimmer and Diver of the Week, respectively, after leading their teams to wins in weekend competition.
Sophomore Kelci Bryant garners her third weekly diving laurel of the season after posting a pair of top finishes to help Minnesota capture the team title at the Swimming World College Conference Championships in East Brunswick, N.J., last weekend. Bryant swept the springboard events, tallying 18 points for the Gophers overall. The Chatham, Ill., native registered a 344.50 score in the one-meter competition before adding a 394.45 mark off the three-meter board. Both winning efforts were good enough to meet NCAA qualification standards.
