Swimmer of the Week
Karie Haglund, Penn State

Haglund posted three first-place finishes, including two individual events, to lead Penn State in a 109-58 dual-meet victory over Rutgers. The senior notched times of 1:02.57 and 2:16.47 in the 100- and 200-yard breastrokes, respectively. She also teamed up with Sarah Baker, Michelle Myers and Kelly Nelson to win the 200 medley relay in a time of 1:43.78. The Marietta, Ga., native collects her first career Big Ten Swimmer of the Week award.

Diver of the Week
Christina Loukas, Indiana
Sr., Riverwoods, Ill. / Deerfield
For the third-consecutive week, Loukas brings home Big Ten Diver of the Week honors. This marks the senior’s 11th career award as she continues to add to her all-time weekly accolade record. Loukas scored her highest point total of the season from the three-meter board, posting a 381.15, just six points off her career best. The Riverwoods, Ill., native won the event by more than 70 points in a dual meet victory over Purdue last weekend.
