Ashley Steenvoorden, Minnesota
Steenvoorden picked up two first-place finishes and guided her Minnesota squad to victories over Illinois Purdue and Wisconsin this past weekend. Her time of 4:48.86 in the 500-yard freestyle provisionally qualifies her for the NCAA Championships. The freshman also took home top honors in the 1,000 freestyle. The New Jersey native is honored with her first career weekly award.

Casey Matthews, Purdue
Matthews earned two victories and a runner-up finish in a dual quad against Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin. This marks the second time in three weeks that Matthews has won two diving competitions at the same meet. From the three-meter board, the freshman totaled 310.65 points, and off the platform she posted a 250.50 which qualifies her for the NCAA Zone Diving meet. Matthews finished second to teammate Ashley Karnes off the one-meter board, racking up 281.30 points. The Getzville, N.Y., native takes home her first Big Ten Diver of the Week award.
