Women's Swimmer of the Week
Maggie Meyer, Wisconsin

Meyer earned NCAA `B' standards in all five of her events last weekend while also notching five first-place finishes. Her times in the 100- and 200-yard backstrokes were 55.25 and 1:59.17, respectively. In relay action, Meyer aided the winning squads in the 200 freestyle relay (1:32.68), 400 medley relay (3:42.55) and 400 freestyle relay (3:24.00). The senior garners her first career weekly accolade.

Women's Diver of the Week
Ashley Karnes, Purdue
So., Bloomington, Ind./Bloomington North
Karnes swept the springboard competitions this weekend at the Big Ten quadrangular. Her one-meter performance of 281.35 qualifies her for the NCAA Zone diving meet next month as does her three-meter dive which tallied a score of 321.30. The sophomore has won nine consecutive springboard titles since the beginning of the new year. This is the third weekly award for Karnes this season and the third of her career.
