Nelson named Swimmer of the Week, Keefer tabbed Diver of the Week, Simenec takes home Freshman of the Week honors

  • Recorded first-place finishes in the 100-yard butterfly (55.92), 100-yard backstroke (56.42) and 400-yard medley relay (3:49.39) at the Minnesota Challenge
  • Placed second in the 50-yard freestyle (23.88), 100-yard freestyle (51.63), 200-freestyle relay (1:36.70) and 200-yard medley relay (1:46.04)
  • Earns her first weekly award of the season and the second of her career
  • Last Minnesota Swimmer of the Week: Haley Spencer (Jan. 17, 2012)

Diver of the Week

Maggie Keefer, Minnesota

  • Placed first in the 1-meter (346.35) and 3-meter (340.80) events
  • Both scores are NCAA Zone qualifying marks
  • Earns her fourth weekly award of the season and the fifth of her career
