Indiana's Weigle Leads Group of Five Hoosiers to Platform Finals

After a five-round prelim competition in the platform diving competition, eight divers earned spots in the event finals Saturday evening while the top 16 earn points for their teams' standings. The Hoosiers Lindsay Weigle laced together a five-dive performance to edge teammate Christina Loukas for first place with a score of 307.35. Loukas finished second with a score of 285.20, beating out Home town favorite, Holly Jakits finished fifth with 257.80 points followed by two Boilermakers in sixth and seventh places. Amanda Miller scored 254.30 and Katie Berg followed with 248.70 for Purdue. In addition to the finalists, Purdue and Indiana also had two more divers each score in the top 16 while Minnesota counted three more scoring divers.
