Day 3 of the 2011 Big Ten Women's Swimming and Diving Championships have begun at the Counsilman-Billingsley Aquatic Center. The 400 individual medley, 100 butterfly, 200 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, 100 backstroke, 400 medley relay and three-meter diving will take place today, with preliminary heats this morning and the finals starting at 6:30 p.m. ET.
Indiana climbed into first place on the strength of a top finish and two runner-up finishes during the second day of competition at the Big Ten Championships inside the Counsilman Billingsley Aquatic Center. Through seven completed events, the Hoosiers have compiled 279 team points and sit just slightly ahead of Minnesota (236) and Ohio State (149) in the team standings. With 147 points Michigan occupies the fourth place position in the team race while Purdue rounds out the top five with 146.5 overall tallies.
