Sportsmanship Nominees
For the second time ever, the conference gave team sportsmanship honors to one inidividual from every squad as selected by her head coach. The student-athletes chosen are individuals who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. In addition, the student-athletes must be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting. These student-athletes are now candidates for the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award, as the Conference office will honor one male and one female student-athlete from each institution at the end of the school year.

Those nominees include Illinois' Samantha Leibold, Indiana's Lindsay Weigle, Iowa's Robin Samples, Michigan's Elsa Larson, Michigan State's Lindsey Rodin, Minnesota's Stacy Busack, Northwestern's Sara Petric, Ohio State's Anesa Beard, Penn State's Jill Heck, Purdue's Erica Chandler, Wisconsin's Tina Wanezek.
