Through six events, Minnesota sits at No. 11 with 37 team points, followed by No. 12 Indiana with 32 points. Wisconsin sits in 14th place with 30 points, followed by No. 19. Penn State (13 points). Ohio State comes in 21st place with nine points, while Michigan sits in 24th place with seven tallies.
The Golden Gophers' Meg Keefer recorded a fifth-place finish in the 1-meter event with a score of 332.40. Fellow teammate Ashley Steenvoorden placed sixth in the 500 freestyle (4:37.95), Wisconsin's Rebecca Thompson finished seventh in the 50 freestyle (22.16), and Indiana's Allysa Vavra was eighth in the 200 individual medley (1:56.60).
Day two of the NCAA Championships will begin with preliminary events of the 200 yard medley relay, 400 individual medley, 100 butterfly, 200 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, 100 backstroke and 3-meter diving. Finals of these events will begin at 7 p.m. CT.
